Within the cartridge is a disk similar to those found in |hard disks|. This disk is a rigid platter usually made of ceramic or plastic, coated with a material capable of accepting magnetic charge. The disk normally spins at three-to-four thousand revolutions per minute, significantly faster than |floppies|. Common storage capacities are between 40 and 100 |megabytes|. Cartridges have the storage capacity of hard drives and the convenience of floppies.
